The Body in the Library

First published in 1942. This copy is undated but by using the 'recently published' titles in the book I can guess it was printed in the early 1950s. It was not printed after 1957 due to the 1/6 price on the cover. This copy was printed in the Netherlands (possibly due to paper shortages during the war, but just a guess!)

The only adverts in this copy is on the back cover for Bravingtons Jewellers and for Cadburys.

First published in 1942, and this edition was printed by Pan in 1959. This copy is the second printing, also from 1959.

Nearer and nearer to the bed the intruder stole...a finger and thumb ready to pick up a fold of skin, in the other hand the hypodermic was ready.

But suddenly, from the shadows, an iron grasp seized the hand that held the needle.
