Mrs. Ferrars died on Thursday, September 16th.
Mr. Ferrars had died one year earlier.
Village rumous had accused her of poisoning her husband, but no one was sure until the letter to the man she loved was discovered.
But Roger Ackroyd never had the chance to finished readingthe letter - for he was th next in the chain of death.
